Although for the vast majority, Turkey has been the main destination for hair implants for two or three years, the fact is that the Ottoman country’s world leadership in hair implant interventions began to take shape much earlier, and it was not product of luck or random circumstances.
Specifically since the country that divides Europe from Asia began to suffer in their flesh a drastic decline in their tourism, partly as a result of the global crisis, a serious impact on the hotel industry forced political leaders to put on the batteries and think of different alternatives to an economy which has been especially dependent on foreigners in order to survive.
It was at this point where, among other projects, different items aimed at promoting medical tourism, so the government approved all of them. A sector in which the Turks came to stand out for having a more than interesting quarry of specialists in hair grafts and began an empowerment process, both from the national government, and from private investment.
This is how, little by little, a series of infrastructures designed to turn the country into a world reference in hair grafting was built. Many doctors specializing in this area, alongside a huge investment in machinery and technological innovation, as well as in the development of a system that would recover lost hair and from the first visit in less than a week, were building the foundations of what would come in 2015.
Since that year, Turkey is the country where most hair grafts are made from all over the world. Five years later they have managed to multiply their size by five, adding more than 250 clinics that receive thousands of patients each month. Only from Spain, more than ten thousand patients come each year to undergo a hair transplant intervention, attracted in part by unbeatable prices, taking into account the guarantees with which a leading process is carried out. It has been so impactful in the industry that many different countries around the world are beginning to copy this model.
Such is the fever suffered by the bald people of the whole world because of the Turkish know-how that nowadays it is completely impossible to walk through the center of Istanbul and not to run into a few patients who, after the intervention and waiting for the previous revisions to the high definitive before the return to Spain, are seen by the main touristic points of the city bathed by the Bosphorus.
Achieve better results than those offered by clinics in Spain, paying a fifth, and enjoy – either alone or accompanied by family – five days in one of the most spectacular cities in the world, housed in a five-star hotel with breakfast, paid transfers and enjoy a follow-up that extends well beyond our journey through the Turkish country, ensuring that we achieve the desired result within the frame of an industry whose growth seems to have no end.
